LENTEN BOOK STUDY

Sunday, March 1st – 29th. Join Revs. Leslie, Lee and Bryson on a spiritual journey. Our Lenten book study will explore the bestselling book by Fr. Richard Rohr, Falling Upward. Fr. Rohr seeks to help readers come to terms with the two halves of life, teaching that we can’t understand the meaning of “up” until we have fallen “down.” More importantly, Rohr describes what “up” can look like in the second half of life.
Most of us tend to think of the second half of life in chronological terms, but this book proposes a different paradigm…spiritual maturity. Learn how we “grow spiritually much more by doing it wrong than by doing it right”. Find practical guidance to live a life of love and meaning in a world of suffering and challenge. Falling Upward is an invitation to living the gospel and a call to ongoing transformation.
Classes will be held at 11:30am following worship each Sunday, March 1st – 29th March 1st, 8th & 15th we will meet at Trinity UMC, March 22nd & 29th, we will meet at FUMC in Serenity Center (formerly Fellowship Hall). A light soup lunch will be served.
