The Geography of Hope
Living in exile, far from home, in a strange space or place (literally or figuratively), bereft of all one considers good and familiar, is difficult. Living in exile demands revised expectations, and courage to believe that God is still at work, no matter how bleak the circumstances. (Jeremiah 29:1, 4-7).
This Sunday, we’ll explore the idea of exile and the geography of salvation through the lens of the prophet Jeremiah. We’ll consider how God shows up, even when we find ourselves mired in places or circumstances that feel threatening or hopeless…a word of hope in bleak times. Plan to join us and invite your neighbors!
